Q: Why is the side of the screen on my 5c (nearest the facecam) so unresponsive?

I got my 5c (refurbished) about five days ago and it had been working in the morning but not now. It seems that some parts of my screen are unresponsive to me touching them. If it helps I was plugged into the apple charging adapter

I understand that some parts on the display of your iPhone seem unresponsive. To begin the troubleshooting process, I would suggest reading over and working through the steps provided in the attached article.

If the screen on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch doesn't respond to touch - Apple Support
