Aug 13, 2016 2:31 PM in response to jlb284by jjodom1010,You apparently didn't read the entire question or get the context of the question. I'm having the same problem. Every time I try and ask a specific question about my MacBook it won't let me ask the question.

Aug 13, 2016 3:06 PM in response to Loner Tby jjodom1010,I'm signed in with my Apple ID and it still won't let me post a question. I can reply to posts apparently. If I could find a post similar to my question then I wouldn't need to ask the question. I've asked questions before, I just don't understand why it won't let me ask them now. I need help with deleting a MacBook Pro off my Time Machine.

Do you want to remove a specific Mac from a shared Time Capsule? If you turn off TM on the specific Mac, then you can delete the folders for that specific Mac from TM.
Please also see How to move Time Machine backups from one AirPort Time Capsule to another - Apple Support .

Aug 13, 2016 5:01 PM in response to Loner Tby jjodom1010,Ok, here's the whole story. Last month I spilled orange juice on my MacBook Pro with Retina 2012. I brought it to have it fixed at a computer fix-it shop in town as I live nowhere near an Apple store. The OJ ruined the hard rive and the motherboard and they replaced both of them. Now the Time Machine is recognizing the Macbook as a new Macbook. While I was waiting to have my MacBook fixed I bought a used 2008 iMac and it also has backups on my TM. Now I only have 31.5 GB of 2 TB of space left which isn't enough room to back up my MBP. Ive tried to delete the old MBP backup but it won't let me.

The repair seems to have been done incorrectly. Does the serial number of the old (before damage) and new(with new LB) match?

What is the error you get when you try to delete?

Aug 14, 2016 5:19 AM in response to jjodom1010by Loner T,In Applications -> Utilities -> Console logs, type the name of your backup in the top right search box and search. Are there any error messages? With the log window up, connect to the TC, and right-click on delete and watch for errors.
