Q: Swipe to unlock doesn't work

Using an iPad mini running 8.3, the swipe to unlock slider has stopped working. Nothing happens when it is pressed in the usual way - it doesn't appear to move at all.

It has been reset, and after being turned off overnight, it started up again this morning ok, but has since done the same thing again. It now won't respond at all.

What should I do to resolve this, without losing all of the data I have got stored on the iPad?

I understand that your iPhone display is only responding sporadically at the bottom where you slide to unlock the device. In this situation, I would recommend reading over and working through the suggested steps in the attached article to begin troubleshooting.
