Safari takes a very long time to open

Older Macbook, updated to 10.6.8

Processor 2.1 GHz

Memory 1 GB

Recently safari is taking a very long time to open .

Outgoing mail not sending.

Incoming mail very, very slow to come

All setting are correct according to comcast.(Infinity)

MacBook, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

If you want to stay with 10.6, try Firefox which is still being updated.

For Safari, try Safari/Reset Safari.

What does Mail/Window/Connection Doctor Show? If the server is red, select it and look at the Show Details box.
