Q: My iPhone does not give me the opportunity to accept or decline when using airdrop and then does not accept

I am trying to send a quicktime video I made from my Macbook Pro (early 2013 and fully updated) to my iPhone 6 (also fully updated).

The phone shows the circle completing and when it has finished I get a tick in the middle and then it disappears.

No transfer has been made.

I have tried the usual things like resetting the phone and switching off and on - it always used to work, but not now.

I have made sure that bluetooth is on for both units and that neither is being used as a satellite - also that they are on the same wifi channels - I have even tried different channels.

Most frustratingly I can send video from the phone to the Macbook
