cartoon animation

I make educational videos. I need an animation, like a swinging door, or a falling pendulum or a moving ball. I can make the frames in Paint and save them as .png files. (I know this would be tedious)

let's say 10 frames per second, five seconds would be 50 frames, 50 files. seems doable.

Question. Can I load these into FCE as a group, or put them on the timeline as a folder.

Does this make any sense? I could make them and put them in a folder. They would be in order. Then, If I could put that in the timeline as a folder, the order (critical) would have no possibility of error. The software would have to accept ,like, a frame rate.

Computers, being what they are, obviously have this possibility.

Does this sound crazy?

thanks in advance
