logic and garage band moving track volume's on their own

On my macbook pro late 2014 when creating a song in garage band or logic pro x,

I set the volumes of each track individually and the software sets it for me and playing the song some tracks go up to full volume on their own wreaking the song!

The sliders keep moving with out me touching anything Is this a bug? What can i do?

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Yosemite (10.10.3)

Three possibilities I can think of....

1) If the changes are always in the same place in your project... Then you have likely have some automation recorded in Logic Pro X that is causing the volume levels to change.. (Maybe you accidentally recorded fader movements for example..)

2) You have an external Midi controller attached that is sending Volume CCs.... Try running the free Midi Monitor app....

...to find out which midi device is sending such data.....

3) You have used an iPad or iPhone to send midi data to Logic Pro X (Logic Remote for example but there are many other apps than can do this) and you haven't properly quit the apps but have just closed them instead so they are still sending data in the background...
