How do I delete apps when there is no "x" available on top right corner?
I Am attempting to delete apps and when I press and hold the apps, they all shake but do not have the "x" in the top right corner to click on?
iPad (4th gen) Wi-Fi, iOS 8, null

In that case, you may have turned on restrictions. Go to Settings -> General -> Restrictions, and turn them off, or enable "Deleting Apps".

Note that you can only remove apps that you downloaded from the App Store. This means that you cannot remove apps like Notes or Settings, because they come with iOS and are part of the operating system.
That's one of the restrictions you can turn on or off.
Unfortunately, if you do not know the password, I'd recommend to reset the device. Make a backup of your device in iCloud or your computer, and go to Settings -> General -> Reset -> Erase All Content and Settings.
Right but I can't delete the ones I've downloaded
Ok, found that now it has a password .... I did not set a password, I'm guessing my 5 year old has out smarted me. Or where do I find "enable deleting apps"?
Ok thank you for your help
You are welcome
