Q: Use ApplePay where American Express (or Discover) is NOT accepted

Hello. If I load my iPhone with American Express (or Discover when supported), can I use it where Apple Pay is accepted but American Express (or Discover) is NOT accepted? Thanks.

Not the answer I was hoping for. Thanks, FelipeV!

I was hoping to apply DiscoverCard with its FICO score and no foreign transaction fees features but hesitant because of the acceptance and hoping Apple Pay would solve it.

You can place up to eight cards in the Apple Pay cache. Discover is a free card, so you might consider applying for it, loading it into Apple Pay (once accepted), and also loading at least one additional card into Apple Pay.
