Jun 17, 2015 11:30 AM in response to SebastianMacLuverby Demo,Apple used to state specifically that folder structure was stored in iTunes backups, but in their infinite wisdom and their typical way of skirting around the issue, the Apple kb article no longer states exactly what iTunes backs up.
About backups in iCloud and iTunes - Apple Support
In any event, the only way that I know of to transfer that folder structure from one device to another is to restore from the backup of the decide that has the folder structure that you want on the other device. This will copy all data and settings from that backup onto the other device and that may not be what you want to do. Plus, not all iPhone apps are optimized for the iPad either.

Jun 17, 2015 2:24 PM in response to Demoby nathanial,I haven't found a way. I've restored from an iPhone backup and that brings all the apps over, but not the folder structure. Also it brings the phone apps over not the iPad ones, which means you'll get a prompt saying "There is an iPad version of this app, etc, etc" Some apps don't have iPad versions; Instagram for one, unless they've changed that recently. I spent time trying to reorganize them like my phone once everything was over, but decided against that since in the end I favor different apps on each device and use them very differently, which constituted a different layout.
