Q: I'm getting cross texts and FaceTime calls for other phone

Somehow - SOMETIMES - someone will text my husband and I get the message...

Someone tried to FaceTime him the other day and the call came in to my phone... His phone was ringing at the office and when he answered my phone came up... my phone showed someone calling me.

I am sharing my iTunes account with him is this causing it and if so how do I separate the two accounts?

I have the iPhone 6 he has iPhone 4S both running late 8.3 software

iPhone 6, iOS 8.3

    Greetings pamelyn,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!

From your question, it sounds like the Apple ID the both of you share may be active for receiving iMessages and FaceTime calls as well as your phone numbers.

Please use the information in the Use iMessage and FaceTime with multiple devices section in the attached article to help resolve this issue. You would want to remove the checkmark for the Apple ID and leave the phone number to only receive iMessage and FaceTime calls directed to your specific device.

iOS and OS X: Link your phone number and Apple ID for use with FaceTime and iMessage - Apple Support

    Cheers,

    Joe

well. I followed your instructions and removed his from mine and mine from his and thought it was solved... but I just got another text from one of his employees. If he sends me a text message (which is very rare) It shows on my phone from him and then from my name as listed in his phone. I'm truly baffled on this one. Could it reactive itself?

On another note. I just had him check his settings again and my items are off on his phone, so also had him turn off the iMessage option. Could this have been the issue?? I have mine connected to my desktop so I can communicate without having to pull out my phone while I'm at my computer. Nice feature for me - not necessary for him.
