Q: Issue with iphone 4 and itunes

I really need some help here, because I'm lost.

For some reason, now when I try and delete songs off my iphone - via itunes (mac) - the songs are not deleted on my iphone, but only from my iphone as it appears on itunes. Therefore my phone is packed with music I cannot get rid off - and cannot add new tracks because of space...
Anyone experiences this?

I want to try and restore to factory settings, but I'm unsure how much info I'll lose. Diary, notes etc. If I do a backup now, will all my info be stored for restoring? .... Or is there another way to delete all the songs?

Hey AnrBjötk,

If I understand correctly, you are setting your iTunes to remove songs from your iPhone but they are not actually being removed during the sync.

Please check out the following article and insure you are following the complete steps for deleting items off the phone. Highlights include manual syncing and checkboxes for syncing only checked items.
