Everything is turned on everywhere. I have the right software update. Found out today that my Backup was turned off !!! Oh at last - the answer. But alas no. Apple were going to ring me back but they had a weird number in the email they sent me. I just cannot go through the faff of getting through to them again!
I have massive amount of photos on my iphone which simply will not upload to my ipad.....
