I need to install logic pro 9 on my mac pro.8 but the previous logic owner has lost the serial number, can anyone help please

TRied to istal logic pro 9 on my logic pro 8 but my friend who gave it to me has lost the serial number, any ideas would be appreciated. I originally tried to install locic x but my it wont install with osx 10 7. I was told to upgrade my graphics card which apparently gets complicated, so I was given all the disks ( legal version) to logic pro 9.

thank you Kenny

In order to get a valid new replacement Serial number you (or your friend as he originally purchased it) will need to read the following....

Pro Application replacement serial numbers - Apple Support

and then fill out this form....

https://www.apple.com/support/proapps/serialnumbers/

There is no other legal way of doing this..... other than buying a used copy of the full version (not the upgrade version) of LP8 from a site such as eBay and using that serial instead...
