I just downloaded google earth, supposedly "successful" install. Now I cannot figure out how to open it. No icon appeared an I cannot seem to find it to open and use. I am not too techie. Please don't tell me to get Chrome. Any suggestions.

Press Command + spacebar to access Spotlight search, and type in "Google Earth." You can open it from there. If you hold down the Command key while hovering your mouse over the Spotlight result, it should also display the file path at the bottom so you can find it in the future.
If you downloaded it from Google's site, it should have downloaded a DMG file to your Downloads folder. After that, double clicking the Dmg file will initiate installation of the Application. If you followed the install Wizard, google earth should then be the in Launchpad on your dock, or in the Application folder in Finder.
Did you complete all those steps?
I just unloaded google earth to my macbook, it said "successful" but now how do I open it. No icon and can't find it.
