How to use usb superdrive on a 2010 macbook pro with Yosemite?

Hi!

I have removed the internal superdrive and installed a SSD. I now need to access a USB superdrive, but the Mac won't let me! (because Mac has outsmarted them selvelse thinking i don´t need to use a USB superdrive on this device...)

A simple recipe anyone? (my software skills are limited...)
