Is it possible to block only Facetime calls from a single contact?

Would like to only block Facetime from a single person on my contact list. I am ok with recieving texts but would like to block just Facetime. All the options in Settings seem to indicate it will block them all.

iPhone 5s, iOS 8.3

Yes, blocking is all or nothing for a given contact. Block that contact and all calls, FaceTime and texts from the contact are blocked. If this person uses a unique identifier for FaceTime that is different from texts, you could make two contacts and block just one (e.g. they use an email for FaceTime but a phone number for texts, you could separate them and block just the email contact).

I Would also like to block Facetime from user who doesnt know how to use imessage only and is paying $x 00 in facetime carrier charges each month. I suspect apple doesnt correct this as their deal with carriers would be less profitable. However i will try to shut off or delete his "Facetime" app on his phone and recommend that he switch to android. As users who over pay for apple Products, a company who started the corporate race to 50% margins , we have a reputation as easy marks. Until now i have considered that reasonable 30 years and 30 hardware products later i am learning differently.

now the last time i responded, apple support changed my name to what you see above. I didnt do it and i suspect this time they may see their error and change it again. I dont intende for you to either

Or, ya' could just go into settings, cellular and disable FaceTime for use over cellular data? But that would deny you your righteous rant, so probably not something you'd be interested in.

And just for future use, when you post here, 99% of your readers are just fellow users volunteering their time to help each other. Rude posts and rants are a lousy way to talk to fellow users who do not work for Apple and are only here to help each other with issues.

MIchael I repied here as it was this community that issued me a peudonym of a major personal insult. Not apple. And i have asked but the community has not changed it. i did not rant nor was i trying to be rude. I stated facts. To answer the so called french canadian language expert .... that is exactly what it sounds like and i have lived for years in both French speaking communities of Montreal and St Boniface ( 300 yr old antiquated parisian french dialect)

The "community" did nothing at all. None of us have any power to edit your username, userid, profile or anything about you. If your username was edited, that was done by the moderators of this Apple owned website, as you must have violated the TOU that we all agreed to when we voluntarily joined this site. Apple may not participate much here at all, but they do enforce the TOU and moderate the discussions.
