laptop icloud "find my phone" map is not working

The laptop screen shows a point on icloud "find my phone" map is off and not targeted properly on map as compared to where my phone actually is. Also the icloud "find my phone" map is missing bits and pieces of the map. It seems to not be working. I restarted my computer and map is still missing map pieces and is disjointed and inaccurate for where my cell phone actually is. What could be wrong or what am I doing wrong? I have 4 devices on my icloud on my laptop. I asked for only viewing my cell phone device. It still did not help to fix the problem.

Hi kriste66,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!

I understand that the location of your iPhone using Find My iPhone on www.iCloud.com is inaccurate. For information on this issue, please refer to the information in the attached article below.

iCloud: Troubleshooting Find My iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Mac - Apple Support

Location appears to be old or inaccurate

This can occur if you previously located your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Mac and your device has not yet provided an updated location to iCloud.

Note: Your device's last known location will be available for one day. After 24 hours, you will no longer be able to see this last known location if the device is offline or otherwise unable to connect to Find My iPhone to provide an updated location.

Best regards,

Joe
