Q: color coding on Windows server 2008

Has there been any updates on color coding files using windows 2003 server shares on Macs. We are switching over from windows 2003 to 2008 and we color code our files and that doesn't seem to work anymore. We are mostly on Lion but some on Mav and use iMacs. We Mac services gone is there any updates.

PowerMac, Mac OS X (10.5.8)

I doubt anyone here would know much about color coding on a Windows 2003 server. However OS X (I believe since Maverics) has the ability to tag files in colors. You can find information about that in:
