I have a "wine" app that has perched on my Dock Bar. I am not given the option to quit wine, only to hide.
any suggestions?

You can also option click on the dock icon of any running application. This will bring up a contextual menu whose last item is "Force Quit".
The "Force Quit" functionality is also available from the Apple menu.

Even though this isn't the way Apple recommends you shut your Mac down, I'll put it here. Hold down the power button for a few seconds on your MacBook until the screen goes off. Then turn it back on and this "wine" app should be quit. Now don't open it until you find out how to quit it!

Found this post on Google, but I didn't really like the option of holding the power button pressed. A solution that worked in my case was to run "sudo reboot" on terminal.
I can"t shut down or remove a "wine" app from my dock and therefor cannot shut my MacBook down, suggestions?
