Who makes Apple LCD's

hi,

I work for in a repair center (independent) and I know for a fact that ordering original Apple LCD's are absolutely impossible.

There are a few local businesses that have jumped on our band wagon of success as they seen how well we where doing and now claim that they get their LCD's direct from Foxconn, I suppose to try and pull custom in by lying.

Is there a official iPhone rep on here that can shed some light on this, (I know the answer already) but I would like an official kind of statement telling me that it is in fact impossible to buy ANY genuine Apple parts from anyone in the world, if possible.

That's a shame there's no apple tech here, would be nice to actually have Apple say no.

I know off the top of my head Apple and i'm pretty sure Foxconn would not supply to any random business worldwide, like I said I think it is just them trying to pull in business with false claims more than anything. Shame really because the amount of repairs they have done and we have had to redo them because of shoddymanship is crazy, but we keep quiet as don't want to seem like where slagging competition off locally.

I am understanding your issue to be with your 'competitors' false claims. Go here > http://www.apple.com/legal/contact/ and choose "Counterfeit or Knockoff Products" and fill out the subsequent form.

No Apple here, only users. As far as I know, only Apple Authorized Service Providers have access to the supply chain. (maybe Apple Certified Technicians, but don't quote me)

Are you referring to the LED screen that Apple uses (they don't use LCD). All Foxconn does is install them the screens come from Samsung or LG depending on the model phone.

Addendum and correction: it is referred to as an LED, the two makers are: LG Display and Japan Display.
