Why does my aol mail not send sometimes from my macbook pro and just sit in my outbox?
That can be an attachment that is too large, poor internet connection, soemthing else in the email messge/addressing that has an error.
It does have an attachment of 11.7 mb....surely that's not too big?
The AOL limit seems to be 25 MB

When you can't sent it try:
If you can’t send or receive email on your Mac - Apple Support
Every email sender has its own limits. AOL attachments may be limited to 10MB. You will have to research that on their site, or call them.
