Jun 21, 2015 9:31 AM in response to Rick Mansfieldby jguther,This one works quite nicely for me:
It will power the MacBook for a few hours, and it supports pass-through-charging.
My setup in a hotel room needs just one outlet to charge everything over night:
MacBook
--> Apple USB-C VGA Multiport adapter
--> Apple 29W USB-C charger
--> Sony Portable Power Supply --> iPhone
In the morning, MacBook, iPhone, and Portable Power Supply will be charged. During the day, I can charge my iPhone or run my MacBook from the portable Power supply. There is a 10.000mAh model, too. Beware of the cheap China crap - I tried some, and they were not worth much.

Jun 21, 2015 11:57 AM in response to jgutherby Rick Mansfield,That looks very capable, but it's been discontinued. Sony won't even let you order it from that page. I'd like to find something similar that's a current product.

Jun 21, 2015 12:08 PM in response to Rick Mansfieldby K Shaffer,From the sony page they do list a product 'in stock' which appears among others that are not:
http://store.sony.com/search?SearchTerm=Portable+Power+Supply+with+10000mAh+Batt ery
Portable Power Supply with 10000mAh Battery - Sony. In-Stock, Item: 27-CPF10LS = $99.
Other products by other makers or resellers may be found by searching specifications online.
Some I'd searched had nothing, though should have been promising. Perhaps Belkin, etc?
Good luck in this matter!

Jul 10, 2015 4:38 PM in response to Rick Mansfieldby ozyoney,You can use any battery with decent output (aka 2.1 amps) however I'd wait for the upcoming USB-C capable power banks like Anker's for a few more weeks, as they will be more efficient and can chargeable a lot quicker then the current ones.

May 18, 2016 9:29 AM in response to Rick Mansfieldby Macbook_Lover,Any updates if you already found a small powerbank for macbook 12? I've been looking too but can't find one. Those available in the market are way too big. I want something like this one: http://www.maximas.mobi/ but I think they stopped production?
Anyone who can help us find a small powerbank for macbook? Please please. Thank you.

May 18, 2016 10:04 AM in response to Macbook_Loverby Rick Mansfield,I picked up the Anker PowerCore+ 26800 and got a USB-C cable to go with it. It works quite well.

May 18, 2016 10:18 AM in response to Rick Mansfieldby Macbook_Lover,Thanks for the response. As for me, I'm still looking for one that's a little smaller. I stumbled upon this hyperjuice adapter online that pulls 12W power from any powerbank to charge macbook 12. Production stopped though

May 19, 2016 5:39 AM in response to Rick Mansfieldby Macbook_Lover,Hi Rick, this is quite OT but can I ask how many hours does your macbook last from 100% charge? (Just plain, continuous web browsing. Thank you)

May 19, 2016 1:30 PM in response to Macbook_Loverby Rick Mansfield,I generally get under four hours.
Honestly, I'm not overly pleased with the MacBook. I bought it for portability reasons, and if that were the only reason to evaluate it, it would be a winner. But there are more factors than that, obviously.
I will be going back to a MacBook Pro as soon as the new models are released this summer.

May 19, 2016 1:42 PM in response to Rick Mansfieldby Macbook_Lover,Indeed, the portability rocks on the rMB... I came from MBA, and i'm inlove with the screen on this one. Don't fancy the 2016 version with slightly longer battery life (and faster processor)?
