Could I plug my guitar in the headphone jack of the new Macbook 2015?
I have a Acoustic Fender and I was wondering with the right cords, could the new MacBook support input in the headphone jack?

Something like one half of this would likely work: http://www.amazon.com/StarTech-com-headsets-separate-headphone-microphone/dp/B00 4SP0WAQ/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1434746126&sr=8-5&keywords=mac+microphone+adapter
or
Well no, it's a microphone port as well but the voltage and impedance levels would be dangerously wrong. It needs an external guitar jack converter to bring it to line-level (or mic level!) and that would be more than just a cable. There are many USB devices for the job ranging from the pro-level gear through Roland / Edirol and down to stuff from Maplins / Radio Shack.
line-level (or mic level!)
They are not the same. Line levels are typically 250 mv and microphone levels are typically 2 mv. The audio input on a Mac is Line Level not Microphone Level.
An electric guitars output is similar to microphone levels.
I think you would need something much more like this: http://www.guitarguitar.co.uk/recording-studio/detail.asp?stock=11012510112032&g clid=CJHP1byi8MgCFaYSwwodCRcN1g#main-product-overview
Or this if you have a bigger budget:

It's a standalone pedal with a whole host of effects including a loop facility but crucially it plugs into USB for fun and games and would be a source for Garageband and other music packages.
Yes I could respond to him although my understanding was that the OP got notifications for any update to the thread and my reply was to your comment more than his question.
Regarding the line level / mic level - Apple claim the multi-purpose audio socket is a mic input but my understanding is it outputs at line level (or at any rate I can feed directly from it to line-in on a hifi amp with no issues) and I suspected it took line level in as well - hence my bracketed comment which should really have had question marks after it. So thanks for clearing that up for me 🙂
Anyway I'll shut up now because, as you say the OP is AFK...

The audio output or headphone jack is a multipurpose jack designed for Apple earbuds or headphones that have a monaural build-in microphone. Although there are adaptors that allow access to this microphone input section, it is monaural and analog, and is not considered optimum. This only came about around 2010-2011.
Desktop Macs, that have audio inputs are at line level only.
Macs without an audio input should use a USB microphone, a microphone pre-amp, or a suitable USB analog to digital adapter.

You should always reply to the person seeking the information, in this case the OP. I didn't ask a question, so you don't need to reply to me.
everyone keeps saying that you need a pre-amp, well I have a pre-amp, and the line out takes a standard guitar jack. Can someone point me to the correct cable that takes a guitar jack line out and goes to the headphone jack? I bought one online but it didnt work - the mac didnt recognize it as an input.
No the headphone jack is an audio output.
There isn't one. The Headphone jack on a Ma is unlikely to work with a guitar input.
But one of these might fare better:
