MacBook Pro problem. Please help!

RAM stands for random access memory - the memory that's used in your system. Most of the time if a RAM check fails it's the RAM itself, but once in a while it may be a system problem/failure. If you're lucky it will just be the RAM chips which can be easily replaced at a reasonable cost. I would suggest contacting Apple for more advice especially if the unit is still under warranty. The data on the drive should still be OK. If needed, meaning the system itself has problems, the drive can be taken out and put into an external enclosure and all data should be recoverable.

Good luck.
