Q: Photos for OS X: How to prevent photo stream upload while enabling download?

I have two cameras in use, iPhone 6 and a semi-professional Nikon. While I like the automatic download from the photo stream of my iPhone created photos, I do not want all Nikon-imported photos to be uploaded to the photo stream.

Is there a way in Photos for OS X to only download (import) the pictures from the photo stream while preventing the uploading of imported photos in OS X?

Thanks

Photos does not support selective upload or download from May Photo Stream.  You can either have both or none.

But you could enable My Photo Stream in iPhoto or Aperture instead of in Photos and download all new iPhone photos to iPhoto or Aperture and copy them over from there to your Photos library.
