What should i do if the fans in my macbook pro are still running fast after an smc reset?

Yesterday the fans in my 2012 macbook pro 13" started to run really fast for no apparent reason…the usage level had not increased above my normal level (i spend most of my day on design software…but yesterday was no more-so than usual)…i wasn't downloading or playing any hd content or anything.

I have tried an SMC reset but this hasn't helped…not sure what to do next…my warrantee has expired which means its gonna cost me the ridiculous £25 to call anyone to ask…so any advice would be amazing!

Thanks!!…decided to try resetting the NVRAM (or PRAM…not sure which my mac uses) which cured it…for some reason safari was using up 80% CPU and making the fans go into overdrive…which is crazy…no idea why, I'm not that clever!…but resetting nvram has seemed to cure it…or has at least reduced the cpu usage back down to normal levels!

Thanks anyways!!
