Podcast stopped loading into iTunes

I have posted a total of 8 podcast into iTunes but only 6 of them are showing. What can I do to fix this issue?

There are only 6 episodes in the feed, numbered 1 to 6, and these all show in the Store and when subscribing. If you look at the web page for episode 7

there is an embedded player but no audio. The page for episode 8 does work, but evidently there is something you need to do to get these episodes into the feed.

The page for episode 7 now works, though there's something a little odd about the embedded player which starts by showing the duration (at the right-hand end) as zero, then when you play it the progress bar zooms to the end very quickly. I suspect you've not told it what the duration is so it doesn't know until it gets access to the file. However none of this is relevant to the feed, which does not have episodes 7 and 8 at all.

The issue is presumably to do with moving the data from your site to Libsyn, and the person to advise on that is Rob, who posted above and who works for Libsyn.

Hi Roger, I seem to be having a similar issue to this gentleman. I have noticed that you are the guru here, well done on helping so many people!

I have uploaded the second episode of my podcast to Libsyn but iTunes isn't picking it up. It seems iTunes is now not reading the first ep either, so I think I've stuffed up something in trying to fix my settings in Libsyn.

I have sent an email to Libsyn and got a generic response. I have asked for more info.

Any guidance on this issue would be greatly appreciated.

My feed is: http://thepouch.libsyn.com/rss

My iTunes URL is: https://itunes.apple.com/au/podcast/the-pouch/id990228235?mt=2

iTunes is looking for a feed at http://macropod.libsyn.com/rss , not at the address you quote. There is no file at this address, so subscribing doesn't work and the Store is showing a cached version of that feed as of the last time it was able to access it. You've been updating a feed which isn't in use, so basically you need to restore the feed which iTunes expects to see. Probably you need to talk to Libsyn on that basis.

Failing help there (though they should be able to sort this out) you would have to ask iTunes Support to move the Store to using the feed you link to. Go to https://itunespodcasts.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new and click the disclosure triangle at the right of the 'Choose a topic' field - choose 'Change feed URL' and proceed from there. This hopefully should solve the problem (though note that though it redirects the Store to the new feed it cannot redirect existing subscribers).

I would be helpful - to you as well - if in future when you have a question you start your own thread. When you join an existing thread it can get confusing as if the original conversation is ongoing you get interleaved answers and it ends up with nobody knowing who is talking to whom.
