Thanks for the question. If I understand correctly, you want to know if resetting the keychain erases the saved password and stuff in it. I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help the issue.
OS X Mavericks: About your keychain password
If the keychain password does not match your login password, when you log in you must also enter a password to unlock the keychain.
If the login password was reset because the user forgot the old password, the keys, passwords, and other information in the keychain will not be accessible, and the user will need to create a new keychain.
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
Have a good one,
Mario

Jun 22, 2015 12:31 AM in response to mario49by KalleNoble,I'm on Yosemite, I'm not sure if that's the issue, but it's not even asking for a password, I could probably figure out the password if it asked for it, the only two options it's giving me is to approve it from another device to let me use icloud keychain or reset it.
Thanks,
Kalle. -

So you do not have another device to approve from. This article may be able to help.
Frequently asked questions about iCloud Keychain - Apple Support
If you can't access any of your other devices that are using iCloud Keychain, you can still set up iCloud Keychain on another device if you have these items:
- Your iCloud Security Code
- The device that is using the SMS-capable phone number you provided when you first set up iCloud Keychain. A verification code is sent via SMS to this phone number. If you can't access this number, contact Apple Support, who can verify your identity, so that you can complete setup on your new device.
Cheers,
Mario
