How do I redeem an I Tunes gift card emailed to me

My husband purchased a gift card from I tunes store and had it emailed to me, I can not redeem it. What do I do? There is no code in the email just a link saying redeem

I did that. It takes me to: http://www.apple.com/itunes/affiliates/download/ I already have i Tunes d/l'd on my computer but I reinstalled any way. Went back to the email, click the Redeem button right back to download page. If I go into I Tunes the $100 balance he sent me is not applied. I've been at this 30 minutes already
