Q: cannot send mail

I have read a number threads with this same question and they ALL ask you to delete and re-add the account.

 

This is not a permanent fix as the problem resurfaces the next day. I have all the correct settings from my ISP and more importantly, when you are out in the field, re-adding the account is not practical.

 

Is this just poor design or is there a real fix?

iPhone 5, iOS 8.3
