iPhone 6 plus needs weekly reset

IiPhone 6 plus, 64gb iOS 8.3

good afternoon,

i now find that I need to reset my phone every 7 days, on average, as the auto-brightness stops functioning and the swipe up and down menus stop being accessible. I still have 35gb space available and have been checking there aren't many background apps running - close them several times a day since this problem started.

has anyone else seen this?

thanks

Hilary

Howdy Hilary,

It sounds like there’s recurring issues with auto-brightness and touchscreen response on your iPhone 6 Plus, which you’re able to workaround by resetting the device.

The article below provides a lot of great information about brightness settings on iOS devices and a troubleshooting suggestion that will resolve most Auto-Brightness related issues.

Change the brightness setting in iOS - Apple Support

If Auto-Brightness isn’t working as expected, you can reset it. Just tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings.

Also, this article provides tips that will resolve most touchscreen response issues:

So long,
