family sharing billing and store credit Questions

I love the concept of FAMILY SHARING. However, I have a question.

Can each Apple ID within that family plan not have a billing credit card? It is my understanding that the family organizer is billed for all purchases. If this is the way it has to be, would each person having a gift card credit prevent the family organizer from being billed? In other words, would individual store credits prevail over charging the organizer's card?

The member might have to enter their own account's password (i.e. the password for the account that they are doing the purchase on), they don't need the organiser's account's password - the organiser only tends to need to be involved if they have 'ask to buy' enabled on the member's account, in which case they will get a notification to approve or decline the purchase

If the family member has a balance on their account then that should automatically be used for that member's purchases - from the page that you posted from :

After you set up your family, any time a family member initiates a new purchase it will be billed directly to your account unless that family member has gift or store credit. First, their store credit will be used to pay the partial or total bill. The remainder will bill to the family organizer's card. As the family organizer, any receipts generated by the transaction will be sent to you
