I don't look at Address Book often {I use Palm}.
Looked at it yesterday and it came up Address ***.
So I went to the International Sys Pref. English was on top.
Log in Log out No change.
Tried Get Info for the Application itself. English was not listed. Punched the "add" button. So Many Choices! {the entire hard drive}.
Where should the English file be located?
What's it's real name?
All my other Aps don't suffer this problem.
Address Book on my iMac DC is still in English 😉 If I knew where it was I would just plant it on my eMac. {If I knew where to put it} {the English File that is}

Can I get there with "Optional Installs" from my Tiger 10.4.3 CD?
Should I use Optionals from the Tiger 10.4.4 that came with my DC?

As Tom intimates, I don't see why it shouldn't work. It probably won't matter much but after copying English.lproj to your AB 'Resources' the owner will have changed from 'System' to you. You should perhaps (I would advise it) use Finder 'Get Info' (or Terminal) to set the permissions as they are on the English.lproj on your iMac. Make sure AB is not running before you start the job.

Apologies. I just downloaded the update to iTunes, and did as I always do – removed the unwanted languages. In so doing I spotted something I hadn't realised before. There is no need for you to delve into the contents of AB. If in the Finder Get Info window you disclose 'Languages' and use the '+' button you can navigate directly to where you want to grab the language file from. I suspect also that, done that way, the permissions will probably be preserved, but you will have to check that. Sorry about the confusion.
