I am attempting to map a DrumKAT to Mainstage. I've got it in Audio/MIDI Setup, I've got it mapped in layout mode, MIDI signals appear on the Activity Monitor but it still won't show up as an input device in the channel strips! What am I missing?

With the channel strip selected does it show up in the instrument channel strip inspector?
No, it does not.
With the drum pad icon selected on the layout section, select hardware input>MIDI port. Select your device from the list. If you already did this step, I don't know what the problem is. What MIDI channel is selected? Try selecting channel 1-16.
It shows up there but not in the channel strip inspector... I had the MIDI channel set to 10, so I set it to 1-16 instead. That didn't help. I also have a MalletKAT and Mainstage recognizes that just fine.
I'm currently working around it by selecting each pad individually and assigning it a note number linked to an existing keyboard. However, I think this may be responsible for the latency I'm experiencing.
How is it connected to the Mac? USB MIDI cable or other device?
MIDI cable connected to an M-Audio Profire 610. That's the one that runs with a firewire cable.
