Why can't I download anything with .exe?

It's not fair Can someone please give me a logical reason I can't download anything DOS mode or .exe?😕

old mac computer that still uses DO-OTHER, Mac OS 8.6 or Earlier, Can it be changed?

Because those are Windows programs. Mac OS X can't run them on its own; this can't be changed without a product such as CrossOver Mac or Wine.

Are you actually sure you can't download them?

There shouldn't be anything stopping you from downloading them - they're just binary files.

running them, on the other hand, is a whole different issue.
