How do I add my picture or an avatar to imessages

As well as summer in the U.S. Northeast can be for someone who doesn't like the heat. And anything for the team.

Are you trying to add a avatar so the person receiving it will see it ? If so you can't. You can only add avatars to the people messaging you in Contacts.

Open the contact you want to edit. Tap "Edit" in the upper right. Tap the little grey head. Select a picture. Tap "Done" in the upper right corner.

You're welcome. Just to be sure you can add a photo to a message you're sending. Just not an avatar where it says who sent the message.
