Possible QuickBoot Warning: Mac unable to full boot (?)

So today I wanted to startup from an external drive on my MacPro6,1 (OS X 10.10.3) using a program known as QuickBoot (https://buttered-cat.com/products/QuickBoot). But when I tried to switch back to the internal drive for start up and that's where our problem starts... The problem is that whenever I power on me MacPro I get to the Apple Icon with the progress bar, which goes halfway, and then it shuts down. It's totally caught in a loop.Fortunately, when i first got my MacPro, I cloned the Internal flash drive which is how I am logged on now.I am also able to boot up in Recovery Mood on the internal SSD so I opened Disk Utilities to attempt to repair. However, I got an error message telling me to backup my files and re-format the drive because Disk Repair could not repair the disk.

All that being said, I had heard that QuickBoot could be dangerous (http://quickboot.en.softonic.com/mac) yet there was never an explanation as to why. So had anyone else ever had this issue? Is the issue QuickBoot or is my SSD Flash drive on my new MacPro failing? Any advice, input, comments, etc on this are welcome...

Mac Pro, OS X Yosemite (10.10.3), MacPro6,1 12-core, 64gb RAM, 1TB SD

I get to the Apple Icon with the progress bar, which goes halfway, and then it shuts down.

You get the five minutes log progress bar when your Boot Drive is so damaged it can not be mounted. It is running Disk Utility (Repair Disk [directory]). If it cannot repair in one pass, the drive cannot be mounted, so your Mac can not start up. So your Mac does an orderly Shutdown to avoid damage. 1/3 to 1/2 of the way across is as far as it always gets.

'What you did next' is exactly the right thing to do next.

But the advice to re-initialize the drive assumes the Drive is the prize. With today's costs, drives are cheap and your files are the prize.

If that Utility has a reputation... then I think you already have your answer.
