How do I change my wifi sync settings on an iPod touch so that it will sync with a new computer, when I am still using the old one? I do not want it to sync to my older MacBook Pro any more. All of my software is up to date.

iPod touch (5th generation), iOS 8.3

Connect it to the new computer by cable and set up the sync connection that way first.

I tried this, but it didn't work. I wonder if it had to do with the fact that I had used an external drive to migrate some data from my old computer to the new one. Anyway, I ended up resetting the iPod and that did it.
