Q: my wireless devices cannot connect to the base station. what do i do?

I've been having trouble getting my wireless devices connected to my home WiFi network. I recently installed my own modem, a Netgear CM500 with an Airport Time Capsule model A1470 serving as my WiFi router. I have an older generation Mac desktop with operating system X 10.7.5 connected wirelessly to the Time Capsule but nothing else will connect, not my iPad2 or two iPhones that I regularly use either. I noticed that the wireless Time Capsule has a different IP address than the IP address I have on any of the wireless devices. Could this be the reason why the wireless devices can't connect, and if so, what can I do to resolve the problem?

Mac OS X (10.7.5)

It sounds like you have the TC in the wrong mode.. it should be DHCP + NAT and you have it bridged.

Please post some screenshots of the setup..

If you change the TC to router.. then you will need to shut down the CM500 for 20min to reallocate the public IP.

Then restart the modem.. and wait 2min for it to stabilize then restart the TC.

No luck then I need to see those screenshots.
