Any advice on how to organize favorites and reading list?

I have a one year old iMac, and recently upgraded to OS X Yosemite, version 10.10 3. I use Safari, to try to keep things simple, and to easily sync with my iPhone.

My Favorites and Reading List has got into a right old mess. Can anyone recommend a simple way of organizing them, please? I'd like to be able to drag items from the Reading List to the Favorites. I've had this chaos before, back in my old PC days, so would love never to have to do it again! I'm happy to pay for a 3rd party add-on.

Many thanks for any suggestions.

Richard

Dragging links from the Reading List to Favorites will only cause more disorganization.

See if the suggestions in this article help here.

Also, with Safari open, from the menu bar top of your screen, click Help > Safari Help

Type: Reading List in the search field top right corner of that window then press Return or Enter on your keyboard.
