my iphone 6 notes disappeared

Five days ago my notes were working fine and I was running low on space so I went into my usage and deleted some apps. I then come back today to see "No Notes" It's not in my emails and I just don't know what had happened. I tried holding the power and the home button, that didn't work. I then tried to normally turn it off and on, that didn't work. Any ideas on what is going on? I had notes ranging all the way back to 2011.
