    Hello Hoofd,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!

It sounds like you may have restored your iPhone in an attempt to bypass the passcode to access your iPhone after forgetting the code. This would put your iPhone in a status called Activation Lock. To turn off activation lock, you will need to enter the password for the Apple ID you have set up for iCloud.

    iCloud: Activation Lock

    Have a great day,

    Joe

    Hi Joe,

    thank you for your reply.

It would be be great if I could get to the option to enter my apple id. However it will not let me. The only option I have is to select my language and country. Then it starts the activation which will fail consequently.

    The status now is,

    IPhone auto resetted after lost.

    iphone removed from my iCloud.

screen header " iphone reported lost call nummer .... My alternative tel number.."

unable to reactivate as written above.

I do not have my computer with the iTunes known to my IPhone available.

So of you have an option for me please let me know.

    Many thanks

    regards

    Cor

    Greetings Hoofd,

Thank you for the extra information and it seems as though I misunderstood the situation. It sounds like your iPhone is still in Lost Mode. To turn off Lost Mode, you can either slide to unlock and enter the iPhone's passcode, or use www.iCloud.com to turn it off. For more information on these processes, please review the attached article below.

    iCloud: Use Lost Mode

Turn off Lost Mode or change your contact info

You can turn off Lost Mode by entering the passcode on the device, or by following the steps below. You can also follow the steps below to change the contact information displayed on your lost device.

If your credit and debit cards for Apple Pay were suspended because you put your iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus in Lost Mode, when you turn off Lost Mode and sign back in to iCloud, you can resume using your cards.

    1. Go to Find My iPhone on iCloud.com. If you don’t see Find My iPhone on iCloud.com, your account just has access to iCloud web-only features. To gain access to other iCloud features, set up iCloud on your iOS device or Mac.
    2. Click All Devices, then select the device that’s in Lost Mode.
    3. Click Lost Mode, then change the information or click Stop Lost Mode.

After you have Lost Mode turned off, if you still have issues with activation, please read over and work through the information located in the next attached article.
