All russian phone numbers are not available. How it can be?!

Hi!

I opened http://www.apple.com/ru/contact/ and saw there three (3) russian phone numbers: 1st - is FREE (8-800) over Russia, 2nd & 3rd are with code `8-495`, which means that they are Moscow numbers, but... ALL OF THEM ARE NOT AVAILABLE! All your customers from Russian Federation are left without any support! How it can be? What r u doing?!

Please, do something with it. Pass this information to your managements. It is not normal, and this can not continue.

Let me know. Thanx.

Last statement first... What issue(s) or problem(s) are you having that you wish contact Apple? Your only Question/Participation here is this thread < https://discussions.apple.com/profile/Remenkoff/content >

Have you tried contacting Support via Apple's preferred path?

To the phone issue...

  • Post the full phone number(s) that you are dialing
(the vast majority of folks here are not in Russia and unable/unwilling to 'experiment' with International calls)
  • Have you contacted the telecom company yet? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Telecommunications_companies_of_Russia
  • are you calling from a land line or cell phone?
  • have you tried from any other phone(s)? location(s)?
  • are you having any other connection problems with other numbers?
  • Have you asked your friends to try to replicate your problem?

I will leave the Medvedev/Putin issue alone, except to say that I don't believe my own political leaders' statements most of the time. The U.N. has sanctions in place over Crimea and Ukraine. The "Data Security" Law is repugnant to companies, difficult and costly to implement, etc. but likely has nothing to do with your issue (but it might)

"Your only Question/Participation here is this thread"

- yes, and what?

"Have you tried contacting Support via Apple's preferred path?"

- yes, and now I waiting for the answer.

About the phone issue:

- you can find all full numbers on russian-localized page of Apple's contact (http://www.apple.com/ru/contact/): 8 800 333 5173, 8 495 580 9557, 8 800 555 6246

- what for I must to contact with telecom company? I've no idea which company serves Apple's numbers, and I think that it must be not me (to solve telecom problems like this, if it is really cause).

- I calling from cell phone. But there is no difference.

- cellular - it's either there or it is not. No difference if it is. But yes - I calling from places where cellular catches.

- no, I have no problems with other numbers

- yes, my friends receives the same result

Honestly, I didn't understand what for you actually raised a question about Putin vs. Apple, but I tried to briefly highlight the situation in Russia.

And about the trust to politicians: we can't trust anyone. Neither ours nor yours.

Anyway, thanks for the help!

"Your only Question/Participation here is this thread"

- yes, and what?

very often, folks here may be able to help solve your issue without contacting Apple Telephone Support - these forums are actually the "front line" of support

"Have you tried contacting Support via Apple's preferred path?"

- yes, and now I waiting for the answer.

What path? If the path I illustrated with the screenshot and link, when did you do this? Before your dead phone post? What are you "waiting" for? A first response from Apple? Tell Apple WHEN you make contact about the phones. Tell us all about your results, please.

sometimes - I have personally seen this here in the ASC - folks "mix up" the order of numbers published by Apple. By asking for you to post them as dialed (not copy/paste from the Contact page) we could compare them to the published numbers for this kind of mistake. PLUS, it shows due diligence to prove it up to Apple, the phone company or whomever it may concern.

If * I * had your same issue here in the U.S. with a published phone number - by anyone or any company - I would contact MY telecom provider and get them to test results - noting details of the call for evidence as well.

- yes, my friends receives the same result

that pretty much proves that there is an issue with the numbers, doesn't it?

... Putin vs. Apple, but I tried to briefly highlight the situation in Russia. ...

I too tried to briefly highlight Apple's likely concerns with Russian Policies and Laws, however UNlikely they are to having anything to do with this issue.

My final advice is... call your telecom company and have them get to the bottom of this. If "disconnected"(another term for not in service), you may not find out why, but at least you will know for sure.

Have you tried again yet?a

Out of curiosity, what exactly do you mean by "... NOT AVAILABLE..." ?? Give details of what you experience when you dial them - and maybe we can tell you if it is a telecom issue that you could address with the telecom company - just like you would with any other non-working published phone number.

Is there anything in the Russian media concerning some sort of Putin vs. Apple spat?

Hi!

Thanks for your answer.

Yes, I tried again & again.. "not available" means 2 variants:

1 - is out of coverage (the number is not available at the moment), 2 - number is entered incorrectly or does not exist.

I've never hear about some conflict between Putin and Apple. We have no conflict, and all people in Russia knows, that security and working stability of Apple devices more efficiently than any other. Our Prime Minister (Medvedev) supports and trusts to Apple. All I find with theme of "Putin vs. Apple" is that in 2014 Apple groundless has blocked special app for event "direct line with Vladimir Putin" without any sane reason. In 2015 Apple (same event, one year later) has unblocked this app, and now all is OK.

I still deprived of the Apple Support in Russia, despite the fact that I buy all devices on Apple's official website.
