Q: Can't find airdrop

I have a macbook pro mid 2012 with OS X version 10.8.5 and I can't seem to find airdrop in the applications tab. I am not sure if I accidentally deleted it or something but now I can't find it anymore in my applications. Could you please help me reinstalling it? Thanks, LG.

AirDrop is not an application; it's a sidebar and menu item. Click here for more information.

It's not supposed to be in the Applications tab; don't look there for it. Check the Finder's preferences and the locations listed in the article.
