Buy a retail Mac OS X 10.5 DVD from a source such as Amazon or eBay. Your computer can't be upgraded past 10.5.8.

OSX 10.5 isn't going to get you much farther these days, particularly with a non-Intel Mac. You also only have 1 GB RAM. While technically this is enough for your needs my recollection from similar discussions is 10.5 will put more overhead on the computer. In a nutshell there is little to be gained now that most new software is leaving even OSX 10.6 behind. If you need to run something such as a newer browser check TenFourFox, otherwise unless you can get 10.5 as a real deal I would save your pennies towards a newer computer.
