Please help!! iPhone Storage problem

Hi,

I have an iPhone 4s (8GB) and it keeps telling me that I do not have enough storage. I deleted what I can giving myself 300MB left. When I plug my iPhone into my computer on iTunes; the iPhone storage states that I have 990.47MB available. How can I make it the same on my phone? Because it only says that on the computer.
