iMessage acting up? sending problems(5th gen)

This problem just started moments ago,I was trying to message a friend they would say delivered, but then a moment later say not delivered. I've had problems in the past when trying to use iMessage where i couldn't log in to it or Facetime for multiple days...

I have two other issues going on with my Ipod....currently the home button doesn't work, occasionally the lock button won't work as well which causes me to hard reset when it does. I can't really figure out what i could've done for anything to act up but who knows?

I'm using an iPod Touch 5th gen with iOS 8.3
