Mail keeps asking for my password

Any suggestions on how this can be fixed. It happens whenever I open up Mail on my MacBook Pro . I have the latest version of Yosemite. The message says "Mail cannot connect to the account ...." and then it has another field for me to fill in my password and "ok".

MacBook Pro (15-inch Early 2011), OS X Yosemite (10.10.3)
