Proxy credentials not remembered

I have an IPAD Air with IOS 8.3. In my company (45,000 employees) we must use a corporate proxy service. It can be manually defined in the IPAD (including the authentication credentials) but it simply doesn't remember them! So, the proxy asks for the credentials hundreds of times!! Any App or workaround??

There are not many diagnostic techniques for the iPad. Check log messages. Reboot. Reload.

cannot find how to read log messages. Continue to look.

Re-boot ipad.

Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until a red slider appears, then drag the slider. Then press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears. page 128 iPad user manual.

force power down if the above give you trouble.

Hold down both the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button. Ten seconds or more. Hold until the Apple logo appears.

Restore to factory settings by loading the latest version of ios that your machine will support:

Do a full backup of your device. Twice is best -- cloud and computer.

Hi,

I have the same problem, however, hard resetting the device still does not resolve the problem.

Furthermore, i have a problem now where not only does the proxy settings not save the first time, but they are now caching the password somewhere in the back end, when you delete the VPN configuration and create the PPTP vpn connection again it still shows a password that wasnt entered (last recognized password). This has only been seen on iOS 8.4 and later, the only way that i could fix the password caching was to restore the ipad back to factory settings.

but yes the proxy settings still remains as a problem of not saving the details the first time around. you literally need to enter the proxy server and port, then save then go back in enter it manually again and then would it only save the proxy settings.

very frustrating especially when you need to explain this to an end user on the phone who is based in another province.

i hope someone at app can fix these bugs soon, maybe with iOS 9?
